WHO WE ARE
Welcome to PVD Squash! Our mission is to get as many people playing squash as possible, while fostering an inclusive, friendly, healthy, and happy community. We want our members to enjoy this lifelong sport while also improving their game from our world class programs.
Founded in 2017, the Gorgi Family Squash & Education Center in Providence, Rhode Island houses one of the largest community based squash facilities in the US with 11 courts, 1 doubles court, and a pro shop. We offer private lessons, group clinics, tournaments, and more to help improve your squash game. PVD Squash is supported and enlivened by our wonderful community partners; Moses Brown School and SquashBusters.
As a Friends School, Moses Brown has spent over 237 years nurturing the potential of students from nursery through grade 12. Grounded in Quaker values, the school is dedicated to cultivating a deep love of learning and a commitment to community, while empowering students not only to succeed academically but to make a positive impact in the world. With the recent addition of the Gorgi Center, MB has expanded its offerings to include a squash program featuring middle school, JV, and Varsity teams. PVD Squash is very grateful for MB's ongoing support and enthusiasm for our program!
SquashBusters is a non-profit after-school youth enrichment program that challenges and nurtures urban youth as students, athletes, and citizens. Providing year round academic tutoring and squash programming, SQB has helped more than 1,000 kids. As one of three regional sites, SQB PVD is dedicated to helping students from the Providence public school system unlock their full potential. At PVD Squash, we are proud to collaborate with and serve as a host for this esteemed program, providing meaningful opportunities for growth and empowerment within the larger community.
